Horus claims that he chose to catch Bek at the top of Set's tower instead of catching his missing eye, because protecting his people is more important than his own pride. However, catching his eye would have been the better option for protecting Bek (as it would have immediately restored Horus' power of flight), so this makes no logical or plot sense at all.
