When the boys awaken from the dream sequence, fighting over the fishing line, Stan rolls over to the other side of Ollie and it is clear his hat falling off. When he rolls back, he leaves the hat behind; however, after they both fall into the water and Ollie loses his hat as well, Stan's hat is missing from the dockside, and there are two hats floating in the water.
