When Smee and Hook are trying to prove that Banning is Peter Pan, they come across the scar Hook had given him when reducing Tiger Lily to which Banning says it is his "appendix", it is on the left side of his stomach; not the right which is where the appendix is. However, Banning has completely forgotten anything related to his being Peter Pan, so he has likely convinced himself that this is the purpose for the scar, regardless of its accuracy.
