In Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Chase Picard was presented with a Kurlan Naiskos, which he and Professor Gaylen regarded as being one of the most rare and precious artifacts in the known universe, especially as it contained all of the interior figurines. The writers or directors of Generations, which was released the year following The Chase, apparently were unaware of the inestimable value of this priceless item. When Picard is rummaging through the remains of his ready room, he picks up the Kurlan Naiskos and then casually throws it aside as if it were junk, then he leaves it behind.
