Leia says to Lando "Vader wants us all dead." Vader could have had them killed at anytime during their stay at Cloud City if he'd wanted. Leia would have realized that. However, Vader was using Han and Leia as bait for Luke - so killing them before he arrived would have thwarted his plans.
