There are so many times in the story where characters have trouble believing in supernatural events even though the story takes place in a town where humans, vampires, shapeshifters, werewolves and other beings live together, co-exist and form relationships. People in such a universe should have no trouble believing occurrence of supernatural events but they always seem to have trouble.
