At the end of the film, President Dale's daughter, Taffy, awards Grandma Florence Norris and Richie Norris the Congressional Medal of Honor. First, the Medal of Honor can only be issued to a soldier, it cannot be issued to a civilian; she should have issued both of them the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest civilian award. Second, they would have to have been presented to them by whoever was the new President, as they were issued on behalf of the United States of America.
