At the end of the movie when Van Pelt shoots Alan, the bullet never reaches Alan because it starts to disappear into the tornado along with the rifle that Van Pelt purchased at the store. Both the rifle and bullet are not from the game like the animals, Van Pelt, vines, therefore it should not have disappeared. However, it is shown that the game reverses the 26-year gap that was the result of playing the game, so the gun and bullet went away because time was going away as well.
