Although Gerard Butler notably slips in between an American accent and his Scottish 'brogue' accent throughout the film it is most noticeable during the police interrogation when he utters the line "Why are we wasting time here?" at approximately 33 minutes.That's not a mistake. That's his accent. Nowhere is it said he wasn't a transplanted Scot. After living for some time in the US, he picked up some American accent, which slipped under agitation.
