In 'Casino Royale', M lives in a modern penthouse suite, with the lift coming in directly to her living room. In 'Skyfall', all of a sudden she is living in what appears to be an old fashioned terraced house. Of course, an unspecified amount of time has passed between the two films, so she could have moved.
