Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake for stealing a pair of shoes, which Zero later reveals that he actually stole and threw over the bridge. That would mean that they would have to have been sent to Green Lake around the same time, or Zero was sent after Stanley. But Zero is already at the camp in the opening scene; and seems well-established in the camp community by the time Stanley arrives, and Stanley is only sent there due to Barf Bag's vacancy (who "got himself out" in the opening scene).
