In the beginning of the movie when Dorothy Vaughn says she had to bypass the starter. If the starter was broken you couldn't bypass it to start the car. The 1957 Chevrolet had a starter solenoid mounted separate from the starter and you would have to bypass the solenoid and the starter would engage. So her dialog should have been she had to bypass the starter solenoid not the starter.
