In the beginning of the film, Veerappan's wife (Muthulaxmi) says she doesn't know English, but when she confesses in front of her landlady Shreya (Lisa Ray) that she suspects her to be a spy working for the police, Shreya asks her amusedly, "Are you serious?" and Muthulaxmi nods, confirming a yes which doesn't go hand-in-hand with her statement of not knowing the language.
