When Quaid and Melina are having their memories removed on the equipment, during the procedure Quaid starts to shake his head because of the procedure. When the scene is shown from a distance it is possible to notice that the shaking of Quaid's head causes one of the equipment handles that is on his head to open up a little, revealing that he was not actually trapped. When the zoom on his face returns, the handle appears fully closed and rested against his head.
