When the bad guy attaches cables to the server, he attaches a network cable with a BNC connector. This type of network connection is outdated and would not have been used on a server as shown. Also, this cable can not be added directly to the network card, but requires a T-connector and a terminator. Additionally, he connects the cable at the front of the server while network connections are normally connected on the back.
