When Sara is running from the gangsters, she looks up at the Associates Center, which is completely lit up. Later on when she goes into a construction site, there are no lights on anywhere. Which means the view from outside should have shown a large spot on the building's diamond-shape roof in total darkness. In this case, the left side of the diamond, according to a view of the roof as Chris drops the rope to Sara.
