When Ollie fakes his illness, the tub of hot water in which he soaks his feet steams, but when Lottie leaves the room and Ollie removes his feet, there isn't even one wisp of steam. Lottie shortly returns and adds hot water fresh from the kettle, which all too quickly makes the water in the tub hot enough to steam and burn, supposedly.
