Near the end of the movie, the USS Argos is forced into a crash dive to avoid hitting King Ghidorah. You clearly hear the sound of a diving prop equipped plane, when the Argos is instead, jet-powered. You should hear an increased whine from the jet engines' increased air/fuel burn.
