When Rockhound is admiring the view of earth from the asteroid you can clearly see where the asteroid ends as if it's a ship they're riding on and the side headed towards earth is the front/nose. If the asteroid is the size of Texas this would be like standing in the middle of the state and being able to see the Mexican border with your naked eye.
