Jordan tells the agent that he "got the real stuff, Lehman Brothers, collateralized debts obligations." Lehman Brothers was usually referred to as "Shearson Lehman" from 1984 to 1994. CDOs were extremely obscure at the time and not very widely traded by major firms such as Shearson Lehman.
