While peanut butter has numerous health benefits including protein and monounsaturated fats, processed peanut butter often contains partially hydrogenated oils (trans fats) and high amounts of sugar and calories. This was well known in the 90s. Compared to pizza and M&M's, it a healthier alternative, but still not a good choice for health-conscious Lanny.
