There is a major plot hole when Cage & Rita talk to the General. Cage could have simply used far more information that would be impossible to know unless he had already lived the day. This would have (conceivably) convinced the General. Instead, Cage doesn't do this. He is arrogant and tells the General "Your mind is not equipped to handle fighting the Omega". This only makes the General even more stubborn and antagonistic. Also, what about reviewing security cameras filming people coming into the General's headquarters? This might not work (due to time manipulation); however it's possible. They never even mention this to the General to support his explanation.
