When the man attempting to bribe Ness drops the envelope containing the money on the paper sitting on Ness's desk it is somewhat horizontal to the paper's headline and overhangs the left side of the paper a little. The envelope is then shown on the paper in a close-up view but is more vertical and no longer overhanging over the left side.
