When Valentine goes to see Carol's nightclub act, another member of the audience is in two places at once: as he enters the club, Valentine passes a man sitting at a table at the foot of the stairs; the same man then appears behind Valentine's shoulder as he is sitting looking at the stage, where a long-shot of the scene shows a blonde woman.
