Chloe steals the key from Nathan's backpack, and he is surprised to discover it missing. Yet from the time she appeared to the time she runs off, she stood in front of Nathan and Victor, and never came close to Nathan's backpack (that he was wearing). It would have been impossible for her to take the key from the backpack without Nathan or Victor noticing.
