After Challis fills out the Rose of Shannon motel registry and heads back to his and Ellie's newly reserved room, he passes one of the other motel rooms and the door is shut. When Little Buddy Kupfer's bike falls off his family's RV and Buddy Sr. begins to thank Challis, the same shut door he just passed is now open.
