At the end of the movie, the resort manager says the experimental medicine was successful in preventing Patricia's epileptic seizures. However, the experimental medicine is secretly mixed into the drinks given to the guests as soon as they arrive at the resort. Patricia experiences a seizure during breakfast at least a day after her arrival, which means the medicine doesn't work. . . immediately ; many medicines that are regarded as highly effective, take some time to act.
