When the film begins in 1951, someone mentions Topo Gigio, a puppet that first appeared on Italian television in 1959 and was brought to American audiences in 1962 on Toast of the Town. This goof may be an allusion to the coincidence that Topo Gigio and The Four Seasons both made their Ed Sullivan debut in the installment Toast of the Town: The Four Seasons, Peggy Lee, Anthony Newley, Jose Greco, Joey Forman, George Matson, Dominique, Alan Gale, Topo Gigio.
