As both Fezzik and The Man in Black are ascending the Cliffs of Insanity, when seen from a top-down view in separate scenes, neither of the boats recently left behind by the climbers are seen at the quay. Vizzini's boat is already gone when TMIB gets to the quay, even though, in calm water, it should still be close enough to impede the docking of the 2nd boat.
