The Virginia license plates shown throughout the film are inaccurate for the time. Virginia plates for 1961 had black blocky characters, usually consisting of just six numbers separated by a dash in the middle. The plates seen in the movie use the blue serifed font used on Virginia license plates issued since the early 1990s.
