After Alejandro is shot in the head, near the end, the gang get into their vehicles and head off at speed. They appear to travel several miles. There is even a short scene where Miguel leaps from the moving rear vehicle. After some time Alejandro recovers enough to make it to the top of the hill and there, surprise, are the same two vehicles (with bodies) now very close to where they had originally started.
