At around 22:17 Michelangelo says, "your new Cathedral..." when referring to St. Peter's in Rome. This is repeat later by the Pope.
St. Peter's is a Basilica, built over the tomb of Peter.
The Cathedral of Rome has always been St. John Lateran.
Michelangelo, the architect and Pope would know the difference.
