If Aaron/Roy had killed the bishop in such obvious way, hoping to avoid death sentence by simulating mental disorder, it is not clear, why he did not reveal his alleged mental disorder earlier, to make it his defense line. Martin Vail learned about the disorder only by accident, after finding the video tape and confronting Aaron.
