Xander Cage claimed traffic lights was invented by BIG OIL, when traffic signals were originally created for trains in 1868. By J P Knight, a railway signaling engineer. It was Tennyson Torch who made this claim but as he made several conspiracy theory type claims this one was no doubt intended as humour not fact.
