When Nick arrives in Sandford, the church tower clock shows the time as being 9.00pm (21:00), but the next shot of his mobile phone shows the time as 20:52. Given the fact that the church roof is in need of repair and everyone in the village is rather eccentric one way or another, it wouldn't be a surprise if the clock was a few minutes fast or possibly not even running.
