Just before the film clips of the victory celebrations at the end of the war, there is a photo montage of scenes, presumably representing actions in which the breaking of Enigma gave the Allies an advantage. One of the very brief shots is of the German pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee burning and listing to starboard (off Montevideo in Uruguay.) The Graf Spee was scuttled by the Germans in December 1939. Although the first Bombe was designed in 1939, the first Bombe was not installed at Bletchley Park until March 1940. Whether the scuttling of the Graf Spee was partly the result of breaking of the Enigma code, is debatable.
