Pretending the Afghan visitors were Catholic priests would be stupid. They might just possibly be members of an Eastern Christian church, in which case they would not be expected to know Latin verses. But help for Muslim clerics would be far more plausible. Or Iraqi Christians, who also would not know Latin.
