When Vincent and Julius are stealing the Cadillac, Julius explains that the car alarm will shut off automatically if the car is lifted into the air because the alarm thinks the vehicle is being towed. However, when they were driving to the garage, Julius explains that he has never driven a car. He's even reading a vehicle instruction manual to learn about cars. If he had no prior understanding of cars before leaving the island, then he shouldn't have an understanding of car alarms, either.
