Sudden changes in locale that do not coincide with the real world should not be classed as "Errors in Geography". Unlike continuity mistakes or a boom mike peeking down into the frame, the makers of the movie are always aware of what they are doing when they use one location for, say, a rooftop garden, while the interiors are shot in a building many blocks away. It is simply what filmmakers do to maximize visual appeal and impact. It can sometimes be disorienting, however, for actual residents familiar with the city being portrayed.
