When Isabelle escapes the ambush she walks away into the desert, she doesn't run and the ground is flat or smooth. When the team finally realizes that she's gone, she should have only had enough time (10 minutes) to get perhaps 3/4 of mile, and yet she's beyond visible range and shown to be at least several miles away.
