After being seemingly killed by the Giganotosaurus, the T-rex is lying with its eyes open. It lies that way for quite awhile before its pupils dilate and its eyes narrow. If it were alive but unconscious it would not leave its eyes open like that. Even if it were "playing dead" it could not maintain its eyes in an un-moving, open position for that long.
