The plane Tommy and Richard fly on to Chicago is depicted as a 747 (at the gate in Sandusky) and an L-1011 (mid-air shot as the plane is on final approach) but the interior is that of a Boeing 767. Additionally, by 1995 there were no 747s flying domestic routes in the US.
