In the final action sequence there is a split second before Mickey falls through the glass ceiling, you can clearly see three small flashes at the bottom of the screen, and a large flash/small charge blowing out key sections of the glass frame before Mickey crashes through the window, presumably to his death. He is also still clearly breathing as the coin falls on his chest.
