In the beginning of the movie, Jack counts seven including himself. One goes in and Frank kills him. Then four go in and Frank blows them up. Four more go in and Frank kills one. Then you see four guys walk pass between the file shelves. There are already three too many. Then there is one more making it four too many. Frank kills four more guys and Marvin kills the black guy. Ten men are killed by Frank and one killed by Marvin leaving Jack alive. So, after a count of seven, the final tally is twelve.
