It has supposedly been 97 years since mankind was destroyed, ending all need for flashlight batteries. Yet, Calia seems to have an endless supply of battery power for her crossbow light and battery operated "tracker."
There are also many other anachronistic elements in the story, like a pristine shower curtain, a functional kerosene lantern, Polaroid camera with flash bulb, vehicles with still-inflated tires, buildings that should be piles of rubble by now, and many other items that would no longer be functional or available after nearly a century of neglect.
