It would be impossible for a person to put on a medieval suit of armour by themself. A suit of armour has many pieces and intricate means of attaching them to each other, e.g. the upper arm piece to the shoulder piece, etc. It would take one or more persons to help a person don a suit of armour, which is why medieval knights had squires.
