The 1st thing the lead character says in the movie is that he is having memory problems . this is something that is constant throughout the movie but nobody thinks to take him to a doctor to find out why. could be a brain tumor, could be early onset Alsheimer's ? the audience never finds out . the thing is if the lead had been a woman someone would have cared enough to try. other than that an excellent movie . . .
