When the white car struck the tree there may not have been airbags to deploy, as was previously suggested. The Porsche 944 was produced from 1982 to 1991 and airbags were not introduced until the 1987 model year. If this was an earlier model that was used in the crash it might not have had airbags so no airbag deployment during the crash might not have been an error.
