The assassination of Rafael Trujillo is one of the most documented killings in world history. The entire complement of assassins were caught, tortured and executed within a month of the murder. The killing wasn't particularly well-planned and it didn't require the efforts of an accomplished assassin like The Jackal.This is a holdover from the source novel and it's as incorrect there as it was in the film.
