After Gant lands on the ice he meets the submarine captain who lends him a parka to wear, olive green and has a hood with fur trim. And it's seen in several subsequent shots. But just before taking off, Gant returns it to the sub captain. It is then briefly see it draped over his left shoulder and it now has a camouflage pattern and the hood is now some sort of dyed wool or artificial material.
